“Last one on drugs is a queer” shouts Portillo.

If it’s not for the tax receipts, the reduced crime rate, the reduction of human trafficking and street prostitution, safety for the users, less strain on our health service and a whole host of other benefits that legalisation of current illicit drugs would bring, then surely a reason for the prohibitionists to get on board is the proper care of our soldiers who need it when returning from battle? No?

Banning drugs because they might be used recreationally is anti-science. We must understand the true nature and capabilities of all drugs before casting them on the scrap heap for the benefit of criminals.
